Cardiovascular diseases and cancer, the two leading causes of death in men in the US

There are two main causes of death among men in the country: cardiovascular diseases and cancer. However, diseases can be detected if men visit their doctor regularly for an annual checkup to screen for diabetes, hypertension, and prostate cancer.

According to Dr. Miguel Ángel Mercado, a Texas Urology Specialist at Texas Oncology, Hispanic men tend to avoid going to the doctor, meaning when they do, diseases may be too advanced to treat.
