Dr. Schatz has a broad-based training and practice in urology. He brings to bear minimally invasive approaches (such as robotic and endoscopic surgery) to the diagnosis and treatment of enlarged prostates, kidney stones, and urologic malignancies, including cancers of the bladder and kidney. He is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine, and serves as Assistant Associate Editor of the journal Urology Case Reports.

Prior to joining Texas Urology Specialists, Dr. Schatz served as an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Department of Urology.
