Dr. Acharya has published several book chapters and authored numerous scholarly articles in peer-reviewed urologic journals. Dr. Acharya has received awards from research presented at the meetings of the American Urologic Association, and the European Society of Pediatric Urology. Over the years he has enjoyed providing volunteer medical care to needy patients in Ghana, Peru, India, and Haiti.
Dr. Acharya's physician colleagues have elected him to the D Magazine - Best Doctor List as one of the best urologists in Dallas for 2018.
Research Interest
Dr. Acharya specializes in adult urological care including treatment for erectile dysfunction, prostate health, urinary stone disease, male and female incontinence, and oncology. He is skilled in all modalities and techniques, such as open surgery, minimally invasive surgery, the da Vinci® robotic surgical system, and laser therapy.
Other Information
He lives with his wife and two sons in Dallas. In his spare time he enjoys running, travel, and photography.
